I’m no Start Wars fan, actually I try to avoid everything Start Wars related. :P

Although, Lucasarts is developing a really great game, with some of the most revolutionary animation techniques, never used in any game, since they own all the copyrights of this technology, at least until this title gets released.

Some parts of this video are kind of old already, more than six months, but they are still very interesting to watch, especially, as I mentioned before, this has never been used in any game ’till date.

Wanna know further onto the world of Star Wars Force Unleashed? Here’s a fairly nice documentary about the development of this title.

This is one hell of an epic trailer.

Enjoy this beautifull title in HD, here!

Ace Combat 6 looks stunning, Namco realy did a kick ass job with this title, too bad It’s a XBox360 exclusive.

For those who don’t know, Ace Combat is a semi-realistic flight/combat simulation video game series published by the Japanese company Namco. Although set in fictional countries, many details are similar to real-life wars, such as the Persian Gulf War, the Cold War, and World War II, and feature actual present day aircraft, but also fictional ones, especially flying fortresses. The first three titles were released on Sony’s PlayStation platform, while three subsequent titles were released on the PlayStation 2 (Ace Combat 4, Ace Combat 5 and Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War). One title, Ace Combat X was released on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) platform.

PSP Slim & Lite

PSP

Last week I bought myself the new PSP Slim & Lite – Ice Silver, and what a great multimedia device! :D

I never owned the old PSP, so, I though it was the perfect opportunity to buy one now!
It’s very smooth, slim and of course, lite! Way better compared to it’s predecessor, not only in esthetic aspects, but the technical ones as well!

  • Better Wi-Fi connection.
  • Faster loading times by storing UMD data in temporary memory.
  • Internal memory (RAM and FlashROM) increase from 32 MB to 64 MB.
  • Improved battery life due to lower power consumption, and battery recharge over the USB data connection. However the old, higher-capacity PSP battery will still be compatible and using it will give an increased battery life, but the battery cover will not close when using the old battery due to the larger size.
  • Weight has been reduced by 33%.
  • Unit is 19% narrower (slimmer) in thickness.
  • A video-out port for displaying on a TV.
  • Improved responsiveness of d-pad and buttons, confirmed in the GameSpot “hands-on” review: “several GameSpot editors have noticed that the d-pad and buttons on the new PSP provide a little more tactile feedback for a better overall feel.”
  • Wi-Fi switch moved to the top of the console.
  • New UMD loading tray design.
  • Removal of the infra-red port.
  • Speakers repositioned on the front of the PSP near the top of the screen.
  • Memory Stick slot has been relocated.
  • Looser analog stick for better and friendlier control.
  • The screen is a little brighter.

All this, for exactly the same price as the old PSP! :)

Obviously, this version of the console has new hardware, you can’t run neither costume firmware, not homebrew.
Although there are some teams already developing hacks for this new PSP slim, like M33 group, who has successfully cracked the console, and developed the first (of many to come…) custom firmware, that runs using a 3.XX IPL (3.60).
It’s still a bit tricky, and you need an old PSP and a Pandora’s battery to do it, so I’ll just wait for better and more user friendly hacks.
In the case you’r interested in ready more, here’s the link to the original thread.
